Without doubt one of my biggest passions in life is food; and if I can’t be eating it the next best thing is talking about preparing AND eating it with someone else even more passionate. And who better to cosy on a sofa with than the original ‘Enfant Terrible’ Marco Pierre White? I’ve had the pleasure of his wit and wisdom a couple of times now and while he much prefers to talk about his home brew over Hell’s Kitchen or his protégé Gordon Ramsay these days, Marco will always be my Number 1 food hero.
Speaking of gorgeous men who love to cook, or at least look good in a kitchen! I had a fun trip to London to meet Vernon Kay and his gorgeous mum Gladys for the launch of a new Flora cooking aid. Having grilled him on his culinary skills, I’d say Vernon would be doing well to make himself a sandwich never mind a stir-fry but I’m sure his wife Tess Daly is more than happy just to have him stand around in the kitchen, even if he does just spend his time getting in the way!
Speaking of kitchen’s I had so much fun hooking up with Cork chefs James and Jon to collaborate on my first cookbook, Christmas with Amanda Brunker & The Blue Haven Food Company.
Filled with festive recipes, shopping pointers and quell surprise a few Champagne cocktails to put the fizz in your holiday, my Christmas cookbook has plenty of manageable feasts for the accomplished cook to the novice first-time-cater.

I was honoured to be invited by the British Ambassador to be an Ambassador for Irish Arts & Culture and celebrate in all things ‘Oirish’ at a special invite only event for the Queens visit to Ireland in July. Here I am with Supermodel Erin O’Connor and while I got to sit in arms reach of the monarch twice! Myself and my mum (also Elizabeth) sadly never got the nod for the formal introduction.
While hubby Bono is normally the keenest member of the Hewson family to pose for photos, his stunning wife Ali was front of stage for once at the launch of her NUDE skincare range at VEDAS in Dun Laoghaire. Just like Helena Christensen I have become addicted to the NUDE Replenishing Night Oil – sadly I can’t imagine any amount of Ali’s award-winning serums will help me look as good as either of them, but I’m sticking with it just in case!
I have to give a big hug to OK! Magazine editor in chief Lisa Byrne and journalist Annabel Zammit (pictured) for all their support in promoting my Champagne novels in the UK. PR is always a problem for any author, so without the support of glossy publications such as OK! My career would be dead in the water. Much love x
I had a great night out with AJ Celi (E! Rockstar Wives) and her beau Billy Duffy of The Cult when they visited Dublin. AJ’s best buddy (Irish Supermodel) Alison Canavan was out of town for their visit, so I was enlisted to show AJ the sights, which included cocktails at Eden, of course the gig at The Academy and a few after show bevies at The Morrison.
